Antique "Moustache Cup" and Saucer with Floral Dec

Description

A vintage "Moustache Cup" and matching saucer set. The cup features a horizontal guard across the opening to prevent moustache from dipping into the beverage. Decorated with hand-painted pink and blue floral motifs and gilded scrolling. The cup has a presentation inscription in gold lettering: "PRESENTED TO Whitey ON HIS Birthday WISHES Dec 31 1907". Material appears to be porcelain. Condition is used with some signs of age and wear, including minor chips and crazing consistent with its age. This unique item would be a notable addition to a collection of antique ceramics or novelty cups.
