Description

The Shoppers on Mateny Road in Germantown, Maryland closed after nearly 30 years, and the whole store is now up for auction, from the refrigerated cases, compressor racks and walk-ins to the meat, deli and bakery departments and the front end. More than 90 Zero Zone frozen food doors from 2016 lead the refrigerated cases, along with Hussmann and Hillphoenix multi-decks, Hussmann island cases, Barker self-contained cases, True pass-through coolers, Hillphoenix floral coolers, an Ameridiser salad bar and Southern CaseArts deli service cases. Bidding begins closing Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern, one lot at a time.

Seven Kysor Warren and Zero Zone compressor racks with Carlyle compressors run the store, and the walk-ins include a four-room Kysor box, a three-room cooler and freezer combo and a 46-foot beer cooler. Meat prep includes a Hobart Ultima automatic wrapper, a mixer-grinder and a meat saw, both Hobart, plus Hobart wrap stations and METTLER TOLEDO scales. The hot foods counter adds two Hobart double-stack rotisserie ovens and a TurboChef rapid-cook oven under stainless hoods with fire suppression, and the bakery runs on two Baxter roll-in rack ovens with Baxter proofers and a 250-quart Hobart spiral mixer.

Up front are Killion check lanes, four NCR self-checkouts and NCR scanners. The rest of the store fills in with a Generac natural gas generator, a Philadelphia Tramrail baler, Mart Cart electric carts, a Crown pallet jack, Interlake pallet racking, and Storflex and Lozier gondola shelving.
